Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel will have the option of using Dayot Upamecano and Leon Goretzka in defense and midfield, respectively, with Joshua Kimmich's ban only effective for another domestic tie.

Meanwhile, there is an interesting battle between Thomas Muller and Jamal Musiala as the number 10 behind center-forward Harry Kane.

Goalkeeper Fernando Muslera is set to be sidelined after dislocating his elbow in the Kasimpasa win, as Gunay Guvenc gets in line for his Champions League debut.

With either of Kazimcan Karatas or Angelino expected to start at left-back, Abdulkerim Bardakci will need to be reassigned to a center-back role, while it's between Tete and Hakim Ziyech to start on the right side.

Karem Akturkohlu, Wilfried Zaha and Mauro Icardi would continue in attack, which means Dries Mertens starts on the bench.

The Champions League is back! After a short break, the next leg of the Group Stage is ready to kick off on Wednesday. Galatasaray will face off against Bayern Munchen in the Champions League Group Stage at 3:00 p.m. ET on November 8th at Allianz Arena. The odds don't look promising for Galatasaray but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Galatasaray was not quite Bayern Munchen's equal in the second half last Tuesday. Galatasaray took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bayern Munchen. It was the first time in this tournament that Galatasaray let down their fans at home.

Now halfway through the Group Stage, both of these teams are determined to finish strong and advance to the knockout phase. Check CBS Sports after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other Champions League content.

Bayern Munich can extend their perfect start to Group A in the Champions League if they defeat Galatasaray. They defeated the Turkish side 3-1 away last time out in the competition and will be expected to roll them over again at the Allianz Arena today.

Thomas Tuchel's side go into this fixture on the back of a 4-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker. Harry Kane got a hat-trick in this Bundesliga fixture and he has now found the back of the net 17 times in 14 games in all competitions. He could break Robert Lewandowski's record for the most Bundesliga goals in a season.

Bayern did lose to third-tier side FC Saarbrucken in the DFB-Pokal last week. However, this looks to be just a bump in the road for Tuchel's team.

One concern for the Bayern roster is that their Canadian international Alphonso Davies has been heavily linked with a transfer to Real Madrid recently.

Bayern's opposition today Galatasaray have the second-best record in the group. They beat Manchester United and drew with Copenhagen but were defeated by the German side.

In their last Turkish Super Lig game Galatasaray defeated Kasimpasa 2-0 with Wilfred Zaha scoring twice.

It is difficult to see Galatasaray getting a result against Bayern in Germany. However, they did manage to defeat United at Old Trafford which showed they can step up on the big occasions.

Bayern Munich, the reigning Bundesliga champions, are eager to extend their dominance in Europe’s premier club competition. They won a recent game against Kobenhavn 2-1 on the road to take a 9 points lead in the group, it is unlikely that they will miss the Knockout Stage.

Galatasaray, the pride of Istanbul, are no strangers to European success. They are in the second spot within the group with 4 points, although Manchester United is behind them with one less unit, Galatasaray have a better squad than the Red Devils and therefore more chances of reaching the next round.
